Bring your ripped jeans, your torn jacket, your threadbare flannel, and learn how to make them new again!
Friend of the space Ravenna Koenig - reporter by day, mending enthusiast and expert (in our opinion) by other days - will be teaching us how to patch and mend our own clothing items so that they can live on.
This will be a cozy night of learning, focused on patching. We will have a follow-up event focused on darning this December!
We will have all the supplies you will need to patch your clothes, but you are welcome to bring fabric and your own sewing supplies as well. We will provide some drinks and snacks, and feel free to hit the food trucks outside for dinner beforehand!
Get inspired by listening to Ravenna's 2023 NPR story “If you want to fix your own clothes, try this easy style of mending.”
